The Play

Held in the heart of our city of
Edinburgh, it will be accessible and free of charge to all who wish
to come. In the tradition of Mystery Plays it will
be an outdoor event on the move, with the play progressing through locations
within West Princes Street Gardens. Easter 2005 saw the first performance of the play, to an
audience over 3000 people. In 2007 over 4,500 people came to be apart of this tremendous experience.
Theatre in the UK was born out of the Churches desire to
communicate with the public. With such a rich heritage, it is
wonderful to still be presenting this play in a time when what
is arguably the "greatest story of all time" still has
something to say and a relevance that goes beyond the Biblical
setting.
